间歇接触器的设计主要用于车辆的液压功能，它们的接通和断开速度比连续螺线管更快，因此不建议长时间接触。主触点电路专为电机反转而设计，具有内置故障保护装置，因此如果两个线圈同时通电，触点布置将处于开路状态。此版本的 DC88 具有 M8 螺柱主端子和 6.3 毫米铲形线圈连接。安装是通过线圈外壳中形成的一体式支架进行的。安装可以是水平的，也可以是垂直的，当垂直时，M8 触点螺柱应朝上。
